Vertiba’s 1% Giveback program Goes Global
At Vertiba, we take pride in our employees passion for good.
As a company, we contribute 1% of our net profits to charity/local organizations and pay our employees to contribute 1% of their time, per year, to volunteer for the organization of their choice.
Josh Larrabee, and his Lafayette Booshway men’s group with members based out of Flatirons Community Church in Lafayette, CO, recently participated on a mission trip to Cambodia. They partnered with FCOP International (www.fcopi.org) and focused their work on an Orphan home/Church in the Battambang province. Josh and his team raised $20,000 for this mission trip, of which 95% went to the Orphan home/Church and in-country teams.
Josh shares that, “Vertiba helped make this water filtration system possible and I wanted to take a moment to thank Vertiba’s founders, Ted Battreall and Jim Hooton, for contributing to this effort. The water filter literally is going to impact hundreds of people’s lives. I’m so proud of our company for participating in this project.”
In addition to the delivery and installation of the filtration system, the team worked at an orphan home for 5 days to re-build a severely damaged security wall. Additional time was spent fixing a wall in the home that had cracked and was nearly falling over and repainting the exterior of the house. They also provided gifts and money to the orphan home parents to buy supplies and clothing for the kids. These necessary items help the kids so that they can attend school with the tools and confidence they need to focus in school and be successful.
