We wanted to share a great video Salesforce put together as part of their Customer Stories series. It showcases the work that we at Vertiba, a Salesforce consulting company, completed for several State agencies the Salesforce.com Platform.

Vertiba started its work with the State by developing a way for the Colorado Economic Development team to track businesses it was trying to attract to Colorado. Prior to the project, they used spreadsheets to manage many internal and external functions – everything from job creation to tourism to economic development.  It didn’t take long before the success of the first project spawned many other projects between Vertiba and the State of Colorado – 15 more projects to date.

Now using the Salesforce platform, we can create a best in class web application in as little as 4 weeks and at the same time, broaden accessibility so citizens, businesses and local agencies can access everything from a desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile device!  For example, Governor Hickenlooper’s team now uses the Salesforce.com Platform to manage every letter, fax or web form submission to and from the Governor.  Every request for a meeting with the Governor and every appointment the Governor makes to one of the hundreds of state Boards and Commissions are also managed through Salesforce.com.  The results have been really exciting.  The Correspondence team was able to DOUBLE the amount of letters they can respond to each week without adding a single headcount.  Not bad!
